Raising the Bridge
The developers of the Bradenton Boat Club have obtained all permits necessary to replace the bridge over the canal at 127th Street W. The new bridge design will raise the boat clearance elevation under the bridge to 10.5" at mean high tide, allowing for boats with total height of up to 11'. The canal width under the bridge will also increase by 5'.
In addition, the new bridge will replace what is now a very old, narrow bridge. The new design will feature improved vehicular visibility and a pedestrian sidewalk.
